What is Community Nursing Care?

Community nursing care is specialised, in-home health support delivered by qualified registered nurses. It is ideal for individuals living with a disability who require clinical care and ongoing health monitoring under their NDIS plan. For NDIS participants, Community Nursing Care is a support funded under the Core Supports or Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living categories. It is delivered by qualified registered or enrolled nurses and is tailored to meet individual health needs. Community Nursing Care provides Early intervention and reduced hospital visits, a more comfortable, familiar setting for treatment, ongoing support tailored to each participant’s NDIS plan, help maintaining independence and dignity.
